The sixth All Wales Multimedia Competition was launched in September 2013 with a challenge to all Welsh schools, colleges and youth groups to devise, perform and record a multimedia presentation with an anti drink-drive message in time for Christmas.
Participants were encouraged to use a variety of genre: film, music, PowerPoint, poetry, animation – the choice was theirs. For their considerable efforts, four regional winners have been selected by the judges to receive a prize of £500.
Last year, Coleg Menai, Anglesey submitted an entry which was highly commended by the competition judges. This year, the students have been selected as North Wales winners thanks to their submission, titled “Teddy Bear”. The video emphasises the consequences of drink driving , not just for the driver, but for their passengers and other road users.
