Pass Plus Cymru

Statistics show that young people between the ages of 16 and 25 are more likely to be killed on the road than any other road user. To help Gwynedd Councils road safety unit in their efforts to reduce the number of young drivers killed on the roads Paula Owen Gwynedd Councils road safety officer visited year 12 and 13 pupils in Gwynedd Secondary Schools recently to promote Pass Plus Cymru.  The expert led Pass Plus Cymru course gives young drivers the opportunity to develop road techniques and to widen experience. The course concentrates on motorway driving, coping with driving in busy towns and cities as well as driving on rural country roads.
Gwynedd Council is offering to pay a large percentage of the cost for any young driver who has recently passed their driving test to attend a Pass Plus Cymru course in the hope of reducing the number of young drivers involved in collisions.
