PARC SCHOOL, HOLYHEAD

The Road Safety Officers at Parc School are very industrious.  They borrowed a pretend road, pavement and pelican crossing from Anglesey County Council’s Road Safety Unit in order to teach the Infants all about the Green Cross Code.  During the session they talked about the importance of holding an adult’s hand, looking both ways and listening before crossing the road.
Recently the School Road Safety Officers prepared and presented a power point presentation for the older children in order to create an awareness of the dangers on the road, concentrating specifically on crossing the road and cycling safely.  The presentation was interesting and the power point was colourful and appealing.  This was a presentation which encouraged a good discussion about some really important road safety issues. Congratulations School Road Safety Officers for a highly successful presentation.
You can view the power point presentation here.  Enjoy!
